The Back to School Bash on August 22, 2009 was a huge success, giving away more than 1,500 backpacks to children in need. Filled with overflowing school supplies ranging from rulers to brand new boxes of crayons. The Dream Center and Kohl’s department store gave the kids in our community a chance to succeed in school with the supplies needed for a successful school year.

There was not only free backpacks but tons of activities to keep kids entertained all day from free face painting, free dental screenings, free haircuts, bouncers, clothing giveaways, games and live entertainment. The joy that filled the Dream Center blacktop as children received their brand new backpacks was priceless. Every kid had a smile on their face as they walked around enjoying the festivities.
