This block is made up of homeless men, women and children who live in shelters and on the streets of Skid Row. Many of these people suffer with mental illness or have encountered circumstances in their lives that they were unable to overcome. We reach out to these people each week and one of the things we are uniquely able to do in our outreach here is to meet with these people and find what they need and why they are here. There is a large amount of people who do not want to be on the streets but feel they have no other choice or option.

Most of these individuals and families have no resources for food, clothes or medical care. We go out to show them that we care, there is another choice and there is a chance for a better life. Hot meals are served, daily necessities are given, and hope is dispersed every week to the people here that often feel they have nothing left to live for. We want to show them that they do.
