The Job Placement Center offers community members and participants in the Dream Center’s Transition Program, assistance in gaining employment. Case managers work with participants in goal setting, identifying obstacles to employment, accountability, as well as building resume and interview skills. Job Placement Center networks with various corporations and small businesses to place participants in paid internships and jobs, as available.
The Transition Program works to assess a Dream Center residents’ current situation, and design a plan of action to assist with the successful transition to independent living. This involves determining educational goals, seeking job placement, and finding long-term housing arrangements. The Transitions program works with other leaders within the Dream Center to coordinate a schedule of activities that promotes accountability and responsibility as the resident is working towards self-sufficient living.
