Our inner-city youth face some of the greatest challenges of all. They are caught in the poverty of their families with no options of their own, or a cycle of abuse and violence and growing up in gang neighborhoods in which they are expected to become part of. Providing them with opportunities for a future is one of our key goals at the Dream Center.

We have thousands of kids we target each week, hoping to reach them before they get caught in the cycle and the life they are surrounded with. We try to work side by side with the parents that have hopes for their children's success, and for those without families we desire to be like one for them.

With the recent addition of our Community Youth Outreach Center, we are able to offer after-school programs and a place to go or a fun activity to be at until midnight almost every day of the week. From sports leagues to video games, counseling and tutoring, we even have a computer lab to provide a way to do typed homework that they would likely otherwise have no other access to.

Our services are geared right to the youth and what they identify with in several age categories. We reach them and then ask them to help us reach their friends. We want to involve them in a new cycle of outreach and care for others right from the beginning.

Our youth leaders are dedicated to mentoring these kids and helping them wirh through the amazingly difficult issues many of them face. With the recent start of our youth internship program, many of those who want to come up out of their environment and become leaders themselves, will join a year long internship training program to help them find and fulfill their own calling.

We have a skate park, music programs, and to aseries of special events, including a "prom-like" spring banquet for them throughout the year, to help these young people experience more than the poverty and brokenness they live in and have grown up in.

Each year at Pastoors' School in Los Angeles, we hold classes on how you can start or run a youth ministry to reach the youth in your area, to help meet the challenges they face in your city.
