THE PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY OF TOMMY BARNETT

Pastor Matthew Barnett co-founded the Dream Center with his father, Tommy Barnett in 1994. He has spent most of his life reaching the hurting and working to meet the needs of LA's inner city. His leadership over both the Dream Center and the historic Angelus Temple has seen both places grow and reach thousands of people for the Lord.
Pastor Tommy Barnett has been in the ministry for over 50 years. Having dedicated most of his life to serving others, he and his wife Marjia are people of passion and vision of reaching the hurting and seeing the lost saved.


Inspiring and motivating people

A well published author, his books and tapes series are designed to inspire and motivate others to find and fulfill the calling God has in their own lives. To inspire people to dream bigger than what they can do, so that they can truly find out what God can do through them. From a young evangelist, to building one of the largest churches in the country, he has also run some of the largest bus ministries, planted pastors around the country, trained and pastored pastors with his 'Pastors' School', and of course founded the Dream Center.


A passion to help those in need

His impact on each city he has touched, has spread to leaders that God has raised up under his ministry, starting new works, many Dream Center plants around the world, and tens of thousands if lives being changed.

He has a passion for helping those in need, and reaching the hurting, which is why his current dream of seeing the Dream Center double in size by completing the renovation of the old Queen of Angels Hospital buildinng that it operates out of, is so important. He has spend his life willing to follow God's leading. He and his wife have three children, one of whom, Matthew Barnett, he teamed up with to launch the Dream Center.
