Can I come visit the Project Hope Home?
While we appreciate your desire to see the work of Project Hope firsthand, we do not allow people to visit the home for a number of reasons:
- We value the confidentiality and privacy of these women as this is considered their home. We have to provide a safe environment for them to feel comfortable and protected.
- Most of these women are often suffering from trauma related to psychological and emotional issues, and are not in a position to cope with visitors.
- Due to the criminal nature of human trafficking, we do not disclose the location of our home. This is for the protection of the women that have been as well as the protection of our staff involved. However there are many other ways to get involved with all that we are doing in our program.
I will be visiting Los Angeles, can I volunteer for a day?
Unfortunately, due to the trust issues these women have, we cannot allow people to come and volunteer on a short-term basis. They need to learn to have healthy relationships and the only way to do this is to have consistent people in their lives. We do however have other ministry and outreaches that you can be a part of for a day and other short term volunteer opportunities.
Can I write to the girls?
Absolutely! While we cannot allow visits to Project Hope, however, we encourage you to show your support to these brave survivors through our Letters of Hope program.
Feel free to write a personal letter of love and encouragement. Please refrain from any personal information about yourself or your occupation. Do not mention their past or any personal experience that you may have that relates. Simply write a letter that expresses your support of their healing. Please address your letter to: Beautiful, or Lovely. Please sign your letter with only your first name. All letters will be screened prior to delivery to Project Hope in order to ensure the safety of both the women in our program as well as yourself.

How do I start my own program or get involved in my community?
Doing an Internship with Project Hope is the best way to really know how our program runs. You will be able to get hands experience in learning the ins and outs of what it takes to run a program for victims of Human Trafficking. For those who can’t do an Internship, but would like to partner with us, please contact us for more information. We encourage you to get a hold of your local law enforcement office to see if there is a Human Trafficking Task force in your area. This will give you information on what is already being done in your community.
If you are a victim or know of a victim that needs help, call the toll free Hope Hotline at 877-632-7234.
