As a Dream Center Food Bank Manager, you will lead residents in our one- year Discipleship Program, providing spiritual support to combat life homelessness, addiction & poverty. This role combines daily operations of managing a fast-paced Food Bank with spiritual mentorship, Christ-like customer service & administration skills.

Description: The Food Bank Manager is responsible for managing all food bank operations & workflow.


Duties:

  • Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit and good morale.
  • Providing spiritual leadership to DC Disciples, short term missionaries & volunteers.
  • Performing daily inspections to check safety of equipment and to ensure that food is put away properly.
  • Helping with duties of other employees, when necessary, because of an unexpected absence or extra volume of food.
  • Loading & unloading all trucks as they arrive.
  • Managing weekly distribution of food to organizations & ministries.
  • Reporting & overseeing maintenance of all equipment including fridges, forklift & pallet jacks.
  • Providing welcoming, respectful & client-focused customer service to campus & community members.
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the food bank.
  • Managing inventory levels, ensuring proper food rotation inspecting food for safety, ensuring food quality.
  • Executing daily Food Bank duties including closing checklist with excellence.
  • Imputing & completing all necessary documentation.
  • Providing a daily spiritual, Christ-centered component to the Discipleship program residents.
  • Executing high-priority tasks to support the Directors strategic goals & operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstration of sufficient reading and math skills to read manuals.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude in stressful or changing circumstances.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends, if required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Osha regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of forklift and pallet jack (manual & electric) maintenance and safety procedures. Forklift certification is a must.
