The Dream Center’s purpose is to reconnect isolated people to God and a community of support by providing human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking. We are building a community of overcomers, people whose lives have been redeemed by God’s love, justified by faith, and born again upon repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord.
Job Purpose:
The Outreach Manager leads daily outreaches with a clear purpose of transforming lives through Jesus. They are to help build gospel centered relationships within the staff, community, students and volunteers while maintaining a healthy and joy-filled environment for those that are both serving and being served.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead outreach
- Have a good understanding of all Dream Center outreaches and the ability to jump in and serve wherever needed
- Possess knowledge and ability to lead all outreaches while having an enhanced focused on one
- Support Director of Outreach ensuring vision and standards are being followed
- To be the pacemaker for the team, leading with a good attitude, enthusiastic spirit and gospel centered approach
- To be the eyes and ears of outreach, communicating to the Director what is happening in the different communities we serve in order to measure effectiveness
- Clearly communicate the vision and mission to support staff, volunteers, students, and teams serving
- Drive DC vehicles to and from outreach
- Have a clear understanding of the neighborhoods and communities we are in
- Maintain vehicles cleanliness and gas
- Lead gospel centered conversations with support staff, community, students, and volunteers
- Build meaningful relationships with support staff, community members, students, and volunteers
- Attend all outreach meetings
- Attend all outreach trainings
- Be prepared to lead trainings when asked
- Ensure all support staff and volunteers are following the outreach policies and procedures
- Maintain professional email correspondence
- Additional duties as required or requested by Director of Outreach
- Understand and adhere to all Dream Center Outreach policies, best practices, and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- CPR Certified
- Narcan certified
- Mental health first aid certified
- Able to get on DC insurance and remain in good standing
- Able to clear all applicable background checks
- Requires repetitive movement
- Requires bending or twisting
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs daily
- Requires standing for long periods of time
