Marketing Assistant (full-time)

Description:

The Marketing Assistant is an entry-level position that will report to the Associate Marketing Manager and the Marketing Director. This person will assist in coordinating projects for the marketing team, support with developing and curating marketing content and deliverables, while maintaining all admin duties. This individual will perform tasks and coordination necessary to support workflow, efficacy, and communication across inter and intra-departmentally, which includes confidential administrative assistance. Working with the team, this role will also provide excellent and prompt service for all external parties and constituents. Duties will include coordination, planning, writing, assisting, and more for the Dream Center, Dream Center Foundation, Angelus Temple, and possibly other Dream Center affiliate entities/corporations.

Duties:

  • Support and contribute to updating marcom plans
  • Administrative maintenance and support for all marketing and Dream Center Foundation inquiries, meetings, and more
  • Assist in management of all admin processing intra-departmentally and with external parties
  • Assist in developing and maintaining existing vendor and other B2B client relationships
  • Assist with planning, set-up, and execution of internal and external marketing events
  • Coordinate internal collateral communication and distribution to internal departments and external clients
  • Working with the team, providing constituent and stakeholder experience support, including but not limited to direct messages on social media, web inquiries, phone inquiries, and more.
  • Manage all marketing inventory
  • Provide support by drafting templates for all marcom related communications (such as policies, procedures and briefs)
  • Works with team to develop social media campaigns and social content
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
  • Assists in planning, creating, and coordinating activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Assists in putting together work plans for each phase of the project, and serves as a liaison between the department and the clients/other departments to facilitate workflow.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Helps ensure projects adhere to frameworks and deadlines, and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Research and learn about topics, processes, trends, and anything in relation to the job role.
  • Develop a strong understanding of marketing principles and processes, and all other technical programs or apps needed for the job role.
  • Assists in preparing project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Assist Marketing Director and the marcom team with administrative support
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Entry-level position, some marketing experience or pursuing marketing or related field preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic understanding of Google Drive – Documents, Calendar
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated passion for the mission of the Dream Center
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications
  • Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude and be a proven team player, and works well with others
  • Highly organized and comfortable in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong creative and project management skills
  • Ability to operate with significant autonomy and discretion
  • Ability to work independently and in cross functional environments, as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented, proactive and have the ability to follow-up often and in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude and be a proven team player, and works well with others
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in writing for social media and other marketing avenues
  • Must be able to work independently and set priorities

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Expected to attend monthly staff meetings hosted by the Dream Center leadership team
