I walked into The Dream Center’s new recording studio and heard a sound I’ll never forget. A young man who graduated from our program was strumming a guitar as his mentor guided him through the art of songwriting.
Doctors once said this young man shouldn’t be alive. For years, he survived day-to-day on 200 mg of Adderall while his body slowly broke down.
Now, there he was—writing his very first song sober. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “I can’t believe this is happening. I never thought I’d have victories beyond just getting free.”
His song will soon be released, and every time I think about it, I’m reminded of what your giving makes possible.
But July was a slower month financially, and we need to finish strong in August to make it through the tough summer months.
